Donald Guadeloupe grew up in St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands. He attributes his passion for women's knitwear on growing up in the warm climate, where the need for sweaters was non-existent. Hence his love for luxurious sweaters and knitwear was a natural outgrowth. Growing up in a transient environment he was exposed to major European designer collection at a young age like YSL, Gucci, Fendi and Armani. This has influence his love for high fashion design.
